Ping makes two types of golf bags. The first type is the carry Ping golf bag. These bags are built to allow the golfer to comfortably carry his Ping golf clubs. The carry ping golf bags come with an automatic bag stand. Anytime you sit your ping golf clubs down, the stand will immediately popup and your clubs will be at the perfect height for you to be able to choose your weapon of choice for your next shot. I love these automatic bag stands. I will never buy another type of bag. The amount of bending that is saved by your golf clubs not lying on the ground is a real back saver.

The second type of Ping golf bags is the cart bags. These cart bags are heavier than the carry bags. The thought is that you do not need a light weight bag if you are carrying your clubs. However, if you always use a cart then you can have a heavier, larger bag. These cart bags are much larger than the carry bags. They only designed with one carrying strap because the thought is that you will not be carrying them.

Even if I took a cart every time, I would buy the carry bag. I find that the carry bags are big enough to hold all of my Ping golf clubs and my balls, shoes, and even a windbreaker or raincoat. But if you really like to look of the bigger cart bags, the cart ping golf bags are very nice. I would encourage you to look first at the carry bags. If you find that they are too small for your liking then go for the cart bag.
